How Coaches Can Monitor Client Progress Remotely Using Coach Catalyst

How often have you sat down at your desk to respond to clients only to be distracted by other items in your inbox?

Have you ever gotten a text message during dinner from a client and forgot to respond?

When was the last time a client asked you for some information but wasn't convenient at the time?

Did you ever want to give your client a longer response, but knew if you didn’t respond right then you never would?

Or my least favorite…

Have you ever had a client show up for an appointment only to realize that you didn’t respond to them?

I dread the last one so much that writing this makes me sick.  My clients and yours too are very important people in our lives.  As a coach, these relationships are more than just paying for services.  These are your people, these are people that share wins, losses, and everything in between with you.  Because of that, you want to provide them with the best service possible.

How can you never miss a message?  How can you make sure you handle all of your client’s needs by end of your working day?

Coach Catalyst Messaging Inbox

This tool is key for working with clients online or in person.  You now have a professional space to communicate with your tribe.  This is an app to handle all client aspects of your coaching business.

At Coach Catalyst, we teach coaches to use the Zero Inbox.

The Zero Inbox stems from the popular use of getting a zero or near zero inboxes for your email.  The Coach Catalyst Inbox will only contain messages from clients.  When using other communication tools like social media, text messages, or email it’s easy for clients to get lost in the mix of the rest of the comments and messages.  Inside the coaching software, when a client messages it goes right into the inbox marked as unread.  Now is the time for action!

The Messaging Inbox allows you to mark messages as a follow-up, done, or just leave them in the inbox until you have handled them.

The follow-up feature is great for coaches on a team.  This can be used to signal to another coach that this message needs to be cared for by them.

When a conversation with a client is completed, mark them as done.  This will get a client out of the inbox, but it will still store all previous conversations, and when the client messages again, they will be back in the inbox.

Getting Clients to Message on the App

From time to time I will hear coaches say that their clients are messaging them everywhere, but not it the app.  My response is:  ‘Teach them where to communicate with you.’  As coaches, we need to teach our clients where the communication should be happening

As coaches, we need to teach our clients where the communication should be happening

Here are my tips for getting clients to use the app for messaging:

For a NEW client:

"Going forward all of our communication will be through my app, this way I will never miss a message from you!"

On Social Media or Email:

"Hey! Shoot this over in the MyCoach App (or your branded app name) so I don’t miss out on giving you all the info you want!"

"Hey! I want to keep all of our coaching communication on the app! You will find my response there."

While it might take time and a little extra effort, moving clients to Coach Catalyst for communication can provide a better experience for both you and your client.

It’s time to never miss a message from a client.  Join Coach Catalyst to zero your client inbox and make your coaching communication a breeze.
